Absane Aden - Associate Assistant Principal

After graduating from Richmond, the American University in London with a degree in Clinical Psychology, Absane moved to Sheffield and completed a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages in July 2007 at the University of Sheffield. She then began her teaching career at The City School in September 2007 as a Newly Qualified Teacher. Absane became Head of Modern Foreign Languages during the conversion to Outwood Academy City in 2013.

As part of The Deeps, Absane has been an Aspiring Leader in Deep Experience, working on promoting Enrichment, Pledges and Internationalism in the Academy, a role she has thoroughly enjoyed and greatly benefited from the wealth of experience she received.

Absane has been appointed as an Associate Assistant Principal in Deep Learning for this academic year, working on VMG and assemblies, and is looking forward to the numerous opportunities presented in this new role as well as continuing to work alongside students and staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students at Outwood Academy City.
